Remember we are selling nothing, offering no services, making no recommendations and
have no interest in knowing your e mail address. We are a totally free service devoted to stopping the sale of fake and fraudulent pieces of Tiffany Studios. There is no other agenda.

OSKED

On the left is the height of deceit. The seller OSKED offers this piece of junk as Tiffany although it is unsigned and has no similarities to anything Tiffany but still lists it as Tiffany. It is not Tiffany.

FINDINGSTUFF4U

All three pieces on the right are fake and fraudulently signed and are listed by JOSEFIVE_DECO. Signed does not mean real Tiffany

UNBELIEVABLE YET AGAIN

There are back yet again. The same old Tiffany fake lamps that have been offered at least 4 or 5 times
before are now offered by another new seller - CAPTNJACK210 - who has been on Ebay for one week,
has a 0 rating, lives in another state but still has the very same pictures and the same verbiage that have
been used before. There is something new - this new seller will take PayPal but not for over $500.00.
Easy to see through that statement. There is a reference to a Sotheby's Condition Report in the new listing
so all of those interested should e mail for a copy. Do not hold your breath waiting for it. Look quickly
as it will be gone soon only to show up again and again and again.

DOLLS4CHAR

The seller of the sconce shown above which is listed by OCTAVIA6, has posted
on their listing that TiffanyFakes.Com has made a mistake in identifying this sconce as
a fake. The seller is quick to point out that Bonhams & Butterfields will vouch for
this piece and we suggest you contact them and see if they will really authenticate both
the sconce
and the two shades as genuine Tiffany Studios products. The only reference
to these shades in both the B & B catalog and the current Ebay listing is that they are
"signed LCT". Seller also points out a reference to a Sotheby sale where a "similar pair"
sold in 2005 for $54,000 for the pair - or $24,000 each but neglected to point out that
this very sconce only sold for $4,000 at the Bonhams & Butterfield auction in 2007.

TALE OF THE TURTLEBACK CHAPTER 16

The story continues. This turtleback lamp that is discussed above has been listed again
for the umpteenth time in it's life and for the second or third time by seller CAPTNJACK210.
Just a week ago some very lucky (seller's pre sale estimate was and is again $25,000
- $30,000) Ebayer purchased it for just $7300 when it sold and it is now listed again.
What happened to the sale last week? Maybe the buyer did not get the "condition report"
from Sotheby's, whatever that is or maybe the high bidder was a shill. Like the turtle for
which the glass is named, this lamp moves very slowly but just cannot seem to get to the
sold location. There will surely be more chapters to this lamp
.

HARLEY42-
This lamp is currently listed on Ebay and the seller stated that
a fake Tiffany tag has been placed on this fake shade. "These tags are props and are there to enhance the lamp". What a wonderful way to enhance a fake Tiffany lamp. Watch for it to show up again in the future without the comment.

TALE OF THE TURTLEBACK - CHAPTER 17

One hour after Chapter 16 was finished, Ebay closed their book on CAPTNJACK210
by deleting the listing for the turtleback that just came on and the seller is now
listed as
NO LONGER A REGISTERED USER. This seller will be replaced
and we will be watching. It will not be too
hard to find the replacement as they keep selling the same lamps.

MIDWEST-NEATSTUFF

More and more live auctions are showing up on Ebay. Remember you are going
to be paying a buyers fee on top of the selling price and these can be as much as

20 percent or more and that is a lot of money. We are seeing Tiffany all over the
place in these auctions and most of these auction houses fail to offer any guarantee of authenticity and they show only one picture. For a fee in excess of 20 percent,
you should get several pictures including very clear and detailed
pictures of the
signature and close ups of the finish. Read the conditions of sale which will wake
you up. Most say they offer no warranty and most do not allow any returns. All this
and a 20 to 25 percent add on commission plus some of the most outlandish
shipping charges ever imagined. Check out these carefully.

NEW YORK STATE - JUNE 2007

The state attorney general's office is warning consumers to be cautious when bidding
on items offered by online auction houses after a recently uncovered nationwide
scheme on Ebay. EMH Group of New York City placed more than 232,000 bids,
worth more than $5 million, that inflated the prices of their online auctions.
Ebay brought the scheme to the attention of authorities and assisted the
authorities in the investigation. EMH will pay more than $400,000 in restiution
and penalities. Is that all they get for 232,000 bids and $5 million in fraudulent bids?

PRINCESSS35
The lamp on the left is listed on Ebay as
Antique Bronze Tiffany "Lily" lamp and is referenced to an appraisal which says Antique Tiffany-Style "Lily" lamp. Must not have been enough room for the word "Style" on the listing

BURCHARDGALLERIES

GREATEXPRESSIONS
The fake vase on the left is listed by GREATEXPRESSIONS who has never
used the PRIVATE bidder function in
7 years on Ebay. Now, with a fake piece of Tiffany, it is being used. Interesting.

THEY ARE BACK

Just when you thought it might be over, they show up again with 4 new offerings.
First is a glass bowl signed clockwise on what appears to be the side of the bowl instead
of counter clockwise and on the bottom like most Tiffany. It is guaranteed to be 100% old
and original but it is not guaranteed to be Tiffany although it is listed as Tiffany. The next
piece of interest is a peony border shade that if real would be worth approximately $200,000
so all of you bargain seekers look out. Surprise of sunrises is that the seller saw that the shade
is numbered but failed to notice the Tiffany signature tag next to the number until some Ebayer notified them of it. Sure, we all miss these little things. The seller says he will leave it up to the experts to determine if it is real. No PayPal accepted for over $2500 and the starting bid is $3000 so for those who are confused, it means there will be no PayPal which means no protection. The remaining two items are not of concern as they are not being offered as Tiffany although the
listing shows a photo of a Tiffany signature but there is no mention in the listing that it is signed Tiffany. The sellers name is CIRCA1897 which changed from ARTGAL97 on June 13, 2007. Otherwise, the rest is typical - vague address of Southeast which is the same location JAMIECOHEN961 and the others detailed most recently on previous pages used but the
money was to be sent to an address in Atlanta. Of course the bidders names are hidden so
you have no ideal if they are real bidders or real shills.

DOUNIAL

The seller on the left
has a hard time listing his items correctly. Read
their listings very carefully as the title is not always what the listing says. Deceptive seller.

The fake on the right is listed again and it is still a fake and will be a fake everytime that it is listed. The offering of this as Tiffany is an insult to the intelligence of even the least knowledgeable Tiffany collector.

DUPRIESTUFF

AND THEY ARE BACK YET AGAIN

This time they use the location of the item as Route 66 and they are a brand new seller on
Ebay from June 2007. Why would a seller use such a vague address as Route 66? 0 feedback.
No guarantee and no PayPal so do not fall into the same trap as others who deal with sellers
like this have done. If they do as usual, the bidders or shills names will be hidden by the
PRIVATE feature.
