COMPARE THE SIGNATURES
On the left is a base by seller SUMPINOLD (shown above left) with an unpolished pontil and a Tiffany signature that appears to be scratched on with a nail. On the right is another base with a polished pontil and a genuine signature. See and know the difference.

THE TIFFANY BROTHERS
You know Louis but do you know the other Tiffany Brothers? There is Curley, Dale, Larry, Meyda and Mo and their works can be found all over Ebay. A lamp above offered by FEMMEJOLIE313 recently sold for a whopping $307 and if anyone knows which of the lesser known brothers made this fine example, please let us know. All of them with the exception of Dale and Meyda sign their work as LCT would but we can usually tell the real from the fakes. These sellers of fake Tiffany usually know exactly what they are selling and many of them can be counted on to offer other fakes besides Tiffany.

THE TIFFANY ZOO
Above you were introduced to the Tiffany family and below we are pleased to introduce the Tiffany Zoo. They have been seen many times before on various auctions - mostly Ebay - but this is the first time all have been shown at the same time. The seller who listed these fakes for sale on Ebay is asking about $30.00 for each animal but they really have a cost of less then $10.00 each and the seller made it very clear that all are fakes.

IF AT FIRST YOU DO NOT SUCCEED.....
Several weeks ago the vase shown below was listed by an "honest seller" for $4500 and as soon as it was listed for sale by FINEARTS29MV, it was also listed on this page as seen just above THE TIFFANY BROTHERS on the right. Of course no one was interested and the price was reduced by $1000 and it has been relisted. We thought you might be interested in looking at it again and also see what a genuine paper label from Tiffany Studios (on the right) looks like compared to the one (on the left) shown on the fake vase. Several times we have warned about paper labels which are not reliable for identification since they would be over 100 years old and are easily duplicated. This duplication is not even close. On this particular vase it appears that the signature and the label were made by grade schoolers. You be the judge. You know you are heading for trouble when dealing with someone who spells Favrile as Favrille.

MORE FROM THE TIFFANY ZOO
Above we showed 10 of these fake animals and on other pages we have shown these on the left before. Seller ALAWR has decided to remove these from Ebay and this is a positive step.

GET YOUR BOOTS ON FOR THIS LAMP
Just listed is the lamp shown on the left and we strongly suggest you read the listing from the first word to the very last as it does nothing but raise a lot more questions than it answers. The word "guaranteed" is not mentioned once in his listing and payment arrangements must be made with the seller personally.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE???
There are very similar. The one on the left is appraised at $25,000, the one on the right at $22,000 and neither seller offers the appraisal for review. According to the sellers, the one on the left was made before Tiffany was born and the one on the right was made after Tiffany had died. The one on the left is a fake and the one on the right is a fake. They are pretty much the same, but wait, the one on the left is a hanging lamp and the one on the right is a table lamp. There is a difference.

TIFFANY IN MEXICO
Check out the pair of mugs above right. They were offered and sold on Ebay by a frequent
contributor to TiffanyFakes.Com, seller QUINTESSENTIAL77. Although they only sold for $102, they do show the desperation of some sellers.
Listed as Tiffany & Company but shown as signed TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK.

PSSTS, WANNA BUY A TIFFANY WINDOW?
Currently offered for sale on Ebay are 7 "Tiffany" windows and we are going to take a look at them and the people involved in offering them for sale. They are nothing new, having appeared for several years on Ebay and that alone should tell you something about them. Many Tiffany windows are unsigned but it is still possible for someone knowledgeable to tell the fake from the real. Records were kept by Tiffany Studios and published by them in 1893, 1897 and 1910 indicating where some of their windows were. They still require a personal inspection as it can be determined if Tiffany made them by the glass used, the leading technique, the layering and other unique characteristics of Tiffany workmanship. As to the current offerings on Ebay, we see that the seller is NARUKO (Gary Braverman) and he is known and has been known to TiffanyFakes.Com for several years when buyers of his merchandise contacted this site to complain about his refusal to honor his guarantee. The owner of the windows, a "dear friend" and an "associate" of Braverman's is Jack Shaoul who is known far and wide in the antique world and operates a store in Manhattan called Universe Antiques -located on Broadway. If you check the link below, you will learn more than you ever want to know about him and his business practices. Google JACK SHAOUL or copy and paste:
http://vlex.com/vid/united-america-jack-shaoul-defendant-36105035

Now, about the windows. NARUKO is saying that they are "documented" but we see no documentation and no one should consider his word or the word of the owner as proof of authentication. A "lifetime guarantee" is also offered and you can easily see what that is worth after reading this article. The seller claims that most of the windows came from All Souls Church which loaned 2 Tiffany windows to the Brooklyn Museum where they are on permanent display. Records show that the two windows from All Souls were originally installed (per Tiffany Studio records) in the Universalist Church of Our Father in Brooklyn and when that congregation was dissolved, the windows went to All Souls in 1945. There is no mention of All Souls Church having any Tiffany windows in the Tiffany Studios publications of 1893, 1897 or 1910. It was a special occasion for a member of a congregation to have a window made for a loved one and donated to a church. While the probability of selling such a complex item as a Tiffany window on Ebay is very remote, one must never let their guard down when buying Tiffany of any kind on Ebay and do not allow yourself to think that these two people must be something special since that have so many Tiffany windows. It is very easy to collect fakes as shown by this example.

MEMO FROM A SELLER
SILVERSALES just completed the sale of the fake and fraudulently signed vase shown above
and we received an e mail from a supporter with his reply: "All I did is list an item with
what it says on it. I got it from a yard sale and sold it on eBay." He got $85.00 for the fake.
